Many persons who are engaged in handicrafts belong to this type. Some of these possess a spark of genius which eggs them on to create excellent works of art. This may be the result of an inspirational urge or a need to escape from or revolt against the constant routine type of demands made on them. After such phenomenal work they relapse into their usual humdrum existence. Theirs is unfortunately a hard life depending as they do upon the whims and fancies of their art patrons.

7. The Artiste Egoist

Almost all artistes have an ego that drives them to higher and higher levels of artistic achievements. But there are some artistes who claim that they are the only persons who are capable of representing a particular form of art. They are actually a great danger to the artistic world as their ideas are parochial, dogmatic and lop-sided. Often their end is tragic, because as time marches on, they relapse into utter frustration and fade away into insignificance.

8. The Artiste Dilettante

In the eighth type of artistes we have the dilettante, who has actually no claim to any art. They are playing a great havoc in the realm of dance.
As dance is of recent revival, the dignity and depth of the art is not quite known to the public which more often than not, falls a prey into the hands of dilettantes. These dilettantes learn a few catch words here and there, learn a few things here and there, read a few books her and there and assured with this assorted and ill-based information,
