The ultimate states of man's wisdom and intellect are truth, goodness and beauty or Satyam, Shivam and Sundaram according to Sanskrit terminology. The search for truth is the aim of all Sciences, the aim of all moral codes is ethics and essence of beauty and the aesthetics in Fine Arts. However there is always a unique relationship amongst science, ethics and arts. 

For the creation of beauty, there are certain formats such as form, manner and style and the understanding and the evaluation of all Arts depend on these formats. There are many characteristics for all arts and they are intuition, representation, vision, design, expression, delight, communication escape and deep thought.

There are many media for all arts. But an artist requires a determination and inspiration to create any art with the help of his own medium for creation, the artist creates a work of art and gets artistic fulfillment and peace. To experience and enjoy a work of art, an ordinary viewer needs compassion and understanding. The artistic forms of various works of art are born out of definite rules. A sculptor who uses a stone or metal or wood should know certain standards and limitations. The painter who uses cloth, paper, wall, different colours and brushes should know the intricacies and restrictions of all these media; similarly in all other varieties of fine arts.
