A noteworthy interesting dance is performed by a youth dressed as a girl, who does a lot of mimicry and mischief using rapidly changing creative movements. However, these dancers go to the extent of vulgarity in trying to please the rich people and the Nawabs.

The 'Vrita' dances are found in the villages of Uttar Pradesh. These dances are performed by women near the temples to fulfill a vow or to obtain some ardent wish of theirs. These are very commonly found in the villages. 'Kajri' is a dance connected with seasons whereas the 'Jhoola' dance is performed during rainy season.

Sometimes the women sing and dance using the age-old swing. 'Jans Nartak' is a dance-drama performed by girls in groups wearing colourful skirts and holding plates in their hands.
