This dance is a soul-stirring sight performed by a clan called 'Gorava-s', the devotees of 'Mailara-Linga' who sing and dance uttering 'ughe-ughe' in praise of their Deity 'Elu Koti Mailara Linga'. Wearing a black rug, a waist coat, a cap made of bear's skin, wearing a garland of small conch shells, having a mark of 'Mailara Linga' on their forehead, these people dance singing and playing a drum in one hand (Damaruga) and a short flute in the other - praising the prowess of Mailara
