Andhra Pradesh:

Bathkamma:

This is performed only by the women of Telangana during wedding ceremonies. In this dance, the important acting is that of Sayijan Bai who describes the troubles which she has faced from her father-in-law and mother-in-law, sister-in-law etc.

Siddhi :
These Siddhi people came from Africa and settled down in Hyderabad. Hence they dance freely and powerfully depicting their African origin. Quite often, these dancers dance in a war like fashion holding swords and sticks in their hands.

Chenchu:
The Chenchu-s are Adivasi tribes living in the districts of Nellore and Kurnool. The men dance to the playing of the 'Tapatta' -a big Kanjira-like drum with a single skin, which is tempered with the heat got by burning the cholam grass. Even the old people and women dance to this drum beating.

Gadaba:
In Vishakapatna, there is an agricultural and hunting tribe called 'Gadaba', who, during the Dasara season and other festivals dance in a circular form to the beat of the drums. Sometimes a single person or two persons dance showing their prowess.
