M.L. Vasanthakumari - Carnatic Vocalist 
MLV, as she was popularly known, the late Madras Lalithangi Vasanthakumari was one of the distinguished singers of Carnatic Music. MLV had her initial training in music under her mother Lalithangi. Later her art was polished and perfected by another musical phenomenon G.N.Balasubramaniam. 

The hallmark of MLV's music was the vast collection of Purandaradasa Krithis which she learnt and mastered from her mother. It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that MLV was solely responsible for bringing Dasavani to the mainstream of Karnataka Sangeetha Paddhathi from the music-political oblivion

T.N. Seshagopalan 
T.N. Seshagopalan, the famous Carnatic musician and composer was trained by his mother and Sri. Ramanathapuram C. S. Sankarasivan.

He has won many awards for his music, and his fame has not been just within the boundaries of India -- he has performed in Australia, Russia, Singapore, Malaysia, Bahrain and Sri Lanka and has visited and has performed in the United States many times. A musical genius, Seshagopalan has been endowed with an enchanting and melodious voice which has captured the heart and soul of music lovers in India and the international arena.
