COLDS
That coughs and sneezes spread diseases is an old maxim, but a true one - especially in the case of the common cold. Colds are caused by virus infections and are highly contagious, particularly in enclosed places. Because the mucus in the nose and throat of cold sufferers if full of viruses, coughing, sneezing - even breathing in a confined space can easily spread the infection.
Cold viruses are in a constant state of change, so immunity acquired from one infection does not necessarily protect you from further attacks. Any run-down condition or general debility can leave you more liable to catch a cold.
