INTRODUCTION
I would like to dedicate this section to those of you who need the use of their voices for their livelihood. By this, I mean singers, actors, speakers etc. This is also a chapter which reminds me of my own frustrations as a singer, sometimes having to sing with a less than 100% percent voice.

The panic I have felt, the amount of different remedies I have tried out to make sure my voice is in shape for the show have all led to a collection of various remedies and exercises which, I hope may help those of you in similar situations.
I have also included some general facts about throat problems and some useful vocal exercises which have worked for me. I wish to stress here that these remedies and exercises are related to my own personal experiences and in no way am I claiming that all of them will work for you. If at any point you are in doubt of trying them or are allergic to ingredients used, please discuss this with your physician before trying them out. Although I have tried to keep use of remedies to herbs and spices found generally in one's kitchen, or age-old remedies passed down from generations, if there are any that you are not sure of, please consult your physician.
