We had learned all the words by heart (all except my little sister who had been busy perfecting her 'goldfish' impression. This mainly consisted of opening and closing her mouth at the right time so people would 'believe' she is actually singing!!!). After the recording, we all came out - all ten of us with an air around us - after all, now we were stars! We secretly convinced ourselves that we would have to learn proper star
behaviour from now on…

We got a couple of gigs from our
TV. appearance. At one of them people even threw money at us. At the end of the evening, we counted our 'earning'. It
totalled to 105 shillings (probably around a Sterling pound at today's rate). We just looked at each other and thought - we have hit BIG TIME!!! After that, we
agonized and discussed for hours how best to spend the money. Finally, we decided to go off to the cinema to spend our HARD EARNED CASH!!!

We did a few more performances after that. We got better at singing - my little sister got better at her 'goldfish impersonations'. Luckily for us, 'cos we were only kids, whenever we made mistakes, people would smile and appreciate us even more for trying so
hard. Unfortunately, soon after, a couple of the members had to leave for the U.S. for further studies and slowly all of us went our own ways. But, I had already had a taste of the buzz you get on stage and this was only the beginning……
